 We welcome you to the ShRFB (Shannon Regional Fisheries Board)
Angling Section. This is a dedicated service for anglers. We present in a twin
pack our two angling information brochures entitled 'Ireland's Shannon
Region, A Fishing Kingdom". The guide covers all the popular fishing locations in the
Upper and Lower Shannon Regions and includes additional supplementary
information for anglers. These free brochures are available to order as a hard
copy or you can access the information via this website.
Angling Resources Centre
Our angling resources centre provides visiting anglers access to our range of eServices.
We facilitate you with the process of researching, customising and tailoring your own fishing
holiday to our region, by linking you directly to the exact angling services and
accommodation you may need. For your convenience, we provide a fishing licence
ordering facility where you can purchase your rod licence or fishing permit in
advance of your trip and of course we have a weekly angling news update to help
keep you up to date on who is catching what and where!

This facility allows you to download our angling and fisheries
Bye Laws, Statutory Instruments, Fisheries Reports. Other relevant downloads
will be made available as required or on request.
Angler Support Desk
For anglers who need area specific or additional angling information or require further
assistance or advice, we provide an angler support desk by
telephone and/or email.
